Music Director - Mark Mortimer

Mark Mortimer is an experienced musician, conductor, piano tutor and writer. He was a chorister and music scholar at Lancing College and went on to read music at London University while studying piano and conducting at the Guildhall School of Music.

Mark has worked with many distinguished musicians, and has a wide range of conducting experience over a variety of musical styles, including opera, operetta, musicals, choral and orchestral. Recent engagements include conducting The New London Professionals Orchestra and The Royal Academy of Music Chamber Choir.

Mark has been the musical director of the Baroque Singers for the past three years in which time he has seen the choir broaden its repertoire and build on its reputation. He's particularly delighted that new links have been made with Tunbridge Wells' twin town, Weisbaden, and is hoping to facilitate a tour there later this year.
